Constant current Source Using IC lM 317
Aim: To Study the Constant Current Source Using IC LM317
Requirement: LM317 , Variable Resistor (100E,12E), DC Power Supply , Multimeter
Introduction:
The LM317 is use for constant Output voltage or adjustable peak voltage. The input voltage is applied to the IC terminals. The R1 is connected in between positive and Negative terminals of the IC . As we know IC generated 1.5A output current and with adjustable voltage range 1.2 V 80 degree heat dissipation Ripple Regulation max. in 40V Current limits constant with temp.
As per "KCL" when the increasing current the voltage may get decrease.
In the circuit variable resistor Rl when decreases the high output maybe increases and the resistor with respect to voltage resistance may be increasing the output current decreases with respect to voltage.
Procedures:
1) Connect the circuit as shown in figure
2) Observe the Iout.
Conclusion :
As the partially the Vin increases that time Iout increases.
