THERMISTOR
AIM: - To study thermistor and plot the region of temperature is resistor.
REQUIRMENT:-Thermocouple, ohm meter, element temperature, indicator, lamp load, mains
230V A.C supply etc.
INTRODUCTION:-
Some time it is necessary to use resistance having special characteristics or Function. This characteristic may depend on different factors such as light. Temperature etc. unlike conventional resistance increase their temperature Increase. The thermistor exhibit the different hence thermistor are used as sensitive element in temperature element through the temperature characteristics of the thermistor is not perfectly increase but it can be used for general purpose like temperature measurement thermistor are available in two types.
PROCEDURE:-
1) Connect the thermistor as shown in figure.
2) Adjust the knob of different postion.
3) Observed the effect on the lamp and resistance on note down the resistance across the thermistor increase and decrease.
CONCLUSION:-In N.T.C when temperature increases resistance of thermistor decrease.

- Positive temperature coefficient (PTC):- its resistance increases when it temperature increase.
- Negative temperature coefficient (NTC):-it’s resistance decrease when its temperature increase thus on increasing in current flow through a thermistor would close its temperature to increase on its temperature to increase on its resistance to decrease this property of thermistor is used in special circuit,
PROCEDURE:-
